Saturday's Picks 11/27/2010

Featured Play: Pittsburgh Panthers 1st Half -13 (4x)

The Pittsburgh Panthers are our top play. We like them to cover the 1st half against UPenn. The Panthers (6-0) are playing great basketball thus far in the season and have beat teams such as Texas and Maryland. The Panthers will extend their 51 game non-conference winning streak and cover the 1st half against the mathletes of UPenn.

Other Plays:

We like the Cleveland Cavaliers at home tonight against the Grizz. The Cavaliers put up an impressive 100 points against a superior team in the Orlando Magic last night and showed that they are still a solid team without LeBron. The Cavs have not lost to the Grizz at home since 2003. Memphis has not been consistent on the road this year going 2-5. Roll with Cleveland.

Oklahoma State will cover against in state foe, Oklahoma. The Cowboys are averaging 45.3 points per contest and are an impressive 9-2 ATS. The Sooners have struggled on the road this year going 2-2. With the conference championship on the line, this game has the makings of a shootout and a close game. We like the Cowboys to come out on top and cover the spread.

Cavaliers +1 (3x)

Oklahoma State -2.5 (4x)

Michigan State -1.5 (3x)

Xavier -7.5 (2x)

Friday Recap: 3-2-1 (+2x)

Tonight was a good night for the team. We ended up +2 units overall. The game of the night was obviously the Boise State vs Nevada matchup. Nevada not only covered 14 points, but won the game because of Kyle Brotzman's right foot. The Thunder pulled off a good win at Indiana to win and improve to 6-1 on the road and earned our followers some more green. Temple covered against the Bulldogs as well.

Despite Nova not showing up tonight and the Magic pushing, we are happy with the outcome of our picks. Some early plays for tomorrow include Michigan State -1.5 and Xavier -7.5. Check back for added plays and our featured play of the day.

Friday's Picks 11/26/2010

Featured Play: Miami Heat -11 (4x)

Happy Thanksgiving everybody. Last Tuesday was miserable. Everything that could have gone wrong did. We are looking to get back on track after a positive day on Wednesday. We think the Heat are a great pick today at home against Philadelphia. The Sixers have been getting rolled on the road (1-8) and the Heat feel like they have something to prove after their 3 game losing streak. Look for Wade and company to come out and destroy the under-matched Sixers.

Other Plays:

We are staying with another in state blow out with the Orlando Magic over the Cavs. The Cavs just don't have the size to play with the Magic and we think Dwight Howard will have his way down low tonight.

We also like Temple over Georgia. Temple gave up a 16-1 run to lose to Cal, so look for the coaches to fix that melt down and get things back on track against Georgia. The Bull Dogs are coming off an 2OT loss, so they might not have their legs back yet.

We are going to continue to ride Villanova and go with them tonight against Tennessee. Playing in New York is like a home game for Nova. We think they will come out and continue to play well against the Volunteers.

The Thunder of Oklahoma City will win against those pesky Indiana Pacers tonight. Durantula has torched the Pacers in their last 6 meetings by averaging 30 points per contest. The Thunder are 5-1 away from home and have played some decent ball thus far. The Pacers have been too inconsistent this year and will have trouble containing this high scoring offense.

Nevada is our final pick of the day. We like them to cover the spread at home vs. Boise State. This game may be a shootout between these two high scoring teams. The difference in the game will be Nevada's quarterback, Colin Kaepernick. He is a very mobile quarterback that can run the ball when needed. He should give the Boise State defense some problems and allow Nevada to stay within 14 points. We like the home team here.

Orlando Magic -11 (3x)

Temple -4 (3x)

Villanova -5.5 (3x)

Oklahoma City Thunder PK (4x)

Nevada +14 (3x)

Wednesday's Picks 11/24/2010

Featured Play: Villanova -6.5 (5x)

Nova (4-0) and UCLA (3-0) will face off tonight at Madison Square Garden with the Wildcats favored by 6.5. The Wildcats have won by an average margin of 28.5 points. Four of the five Nova starters are averaging in double digits led by senior guard, Corey Stokes. Due to the weak non-conference schedule, the Wildcats are going to want to make the most of this matchup against one of the better Pac-10 teams thus far in the season in UCLA. If Villanova can get off to a quick start, we are confident they can cover easily.

Other Plays:

We like Illinois-Chicago over Central Michigan. Although this is not the most exciting of games to bet on, we do like Illinois-Chicago to cover the spread against a Central Michigan team who is 0-2 on the road this year. The Flames are coming off 3 days rest after a big win against a URI and will be looking to improve to 4-2. Roll with the Flames.

Cleveland State is our final college play for the night. The Vikings (5-0) travel south to Akron to face the Zips (2-1) for an in state matchup. Cleveland State has proved to be one of the Horizon League's Premier teams in the past few years. They are 4-1 ATS so far this year and are clearly the superior team in this game. Senior guard, Norris Cole and the Vikings take care of business here and cover.

Our NBA play is Fundamental Duncan and the Spurs. San Antonio is 9-3-1 ATS and have won 10 straight against the Timberwolves dating back to January of 2008. The Spurs are averaging 107.6 points a game and are shooting a league best 44.4% from beyond the arc. We believe they will continue their dominance and have no trouble covering against the Ricky Rubio-less Timberwolves. Get sum.

Villanova -6.5 (5x)

Cleveland State +3 (4x)

Spurs -8 (3x)

Chicago Illinois -3 (2x)

Tuesday's Picks 11/23/2010

Featured Play: Oklahoma -1.5 (5x)

We really like the Sooners tonight covering the spread against the Virgina Cavaliers. The Sooners put in a back and forth effort against a good athletic Kentucky team, while the Cavaliers rolled over and got blown out by Washington. We think the Sooners will carry over the intensity to today's game and win a hard fought battle against Virginia.

Other Plays:

We are taking Ohio State and Purdue 1st half lines. Both Big Ten teams should come out hot against much weaker opponents at home. OSU has blown out its easy match-ups in the first half so far this year, and we expect to see this trend continue.

We also like fellow Big Ten team Michigan State. They had a tough game against Chaminade last night, but we think they will bounce back and perform well tonight against UConn. UConn relies too heavily on Kemba Walker and Michigan State's strong guard play should be able to keep him in check and win favorably tonight.

Our NBA game today is the Mavs over the Pistons. The Pistons haven't been good on the road and the Mavs have been one of the best defensive teams in the league this year. Expect Dirk and company to come out and win easily tonight in Dallas.

Ohio State 1st Half -11.5 (4x)

Purdue 1st Half -11 (3x)

Michigan State -6 (5x)

Kentucky +3 (3x)

Dallas Mavericks -9 (3x)

Monday Recap: 3-2 (Even)

Well when we were right, we were right. The Chargers blew out the Broncos and continued their dominance at home. San Diego State took care of Miami(OH) in the second half and covered easily. Kansas State dominated pretty much the whole game and crushed a much weaker Gonzaga team.

As for the losses, Duke was solid throughout the first half and looked like they were on their way to cover until right at the end where they let Marquette go on a 6-0 run to end the game. Xavier never really got it going. They made it close towards the end but couldn't sustain the comeback and ended up losing by 9.

Monday Picks 11/22/2010

We have a mix of NFL and college basketball games that we like tonight.

We think Duke, Kansas State, Xavier and San Diego State are all solid bball picks. The Blue Devils have been on a roll and have been playing like the top team in the country so we expect them to stay hot and win easily tonight over Marquette. Kansas State is led by one of the best guards in the country in Jacob Pullen. They will be playing a tough Gonzaga team tonight but their talent should help them pull it out in the end. Xavier has been solid all year with Tu Holloway averaging 27 ppg. They should make the game against Old Dominion very close. San Diego State has proved they are a good team by beating Gonzaga. They share two opponents with Miami(OH) so far this season, and they have faired much better in those games. We like San Diego State big over Miami(OH) tonight.

Our NFL game tonight is the Charges at home versus the Broncos. The Chargers have been very good at home, winning by an average of 15.5 pts. Their only loss was a close one to the Patriots, so we think they will continue to play well and beat up on the inconsistent Broncos.

Added Plays

San Diego State -10 (3x)

San Diego Chargers -9 (4x)

Duke -11.5 (5x)

Kansas State -5.5 (3x)

Xavier +3 (4x)
