Wednesday Picks 12/22/2010

Utah Jazz -6 (4x)

The Jazz face a Timberwolves team who have lost 14 of 16 in the past month. The Jazz who normally struggle with containing Al Jefferson will no longer have to worry about him due to the fact he is now on Utah's side. Minnesota has struggled defensively all year and will have their hands full facing a Jazz team that's averaging over 100 ppg.

Cleveland State -9 (5x)

The Vikings look to rebound from their first loss of the season last Saturday to a fierce West Virginia squad. Cleveland State is 7-0 at home while South Florida is a miserable 1-4 on the road. With all eyes on Butler to take the Horizon, Cleveland State will not take any game for granted and will cover at home.

Portland U -4.5 (3x)

Charleston PK (2x)

Detroit -1 (3x)

Syracuse -13 (3x)

Tuesday's Picks 12/21/2010

Dallas Mavericks +3.5 (4x)

We like the Mavs in this one over Orlando. Dallas continues on their scenic trip of Florida as they blow through the weaker Eastern conference. Coming off a big win in Miami, we think Dirk and company should cover this spread, if not win outright. Orlando is a mess right now, losers in 7 of their last 8, and have completely changed their team around. Whether the trades were for better or worse, we don't see them coming together this quickly and beating one of the best teams in the league. Not to mention the Mavs are 9-1 on the road, take Big D.

Kansas State -3.5 (4x)

UNLV hasn't really been tested, and Kansas State has played a lot of tough teams despite getting routed in their last game against Florida. This is a neutral site but basically a home game for the Wildcats as it is being played in Kansas City, a long way from Sin City.

USC +8 (3x)

USC has been playing really good basketball lately, losing by just 2 points to number 3 Kansas. Tennessee has lost 2 straight to opponents much less talented. Look for USC to come in tonight and keep this game close.

Oakland -9 (3x)

Oakland is taking on Valpo at home tonight. They are a big favorite and we think they will win and cover this spread. Keith Benson is a beast down low for the Golden Grizzlies, and look for him to be golden tonight against Valpo.

Los Angeles Lakers -7.5 1st Half (3x)

The Lakers are on a 5 game winning streak and hold a 10-2 record. With Brandon Jennings, Delfino and Salmons all out, the Lakers should be able to get off to a quick start and build a comfortable lead by halftime. The Bucks have lost 8 of 11 and will continue their struggles tonight at the Staples Center.

Los Angeles Lakers -12 (4x)

See above.

Chicago Bulls -5 (5x)

The Bulls will look to get back on track tonight against a 76ers team who is just 3-10 on the road. Before a surprising loss against the Clippers, the Bulls road a 7 game winning streak which included wins over the Lakers and Thunder. Chicago has dominated at home all year. With Rose and Boozer both playing at a high level, the Bulls are a safe bet.

Southern Miss +2.5 (NCAAF) (4x)

North Carolina -11 1st Half (3x)

Monday's Picks 12/20/2010

A couple of picks today. Elon is going against the Dukies where they are a huge underdog. They have played well in the first half against other ACC opponents and we think it will be within 19 at the break. The Bears are going against Minnesota and the game will be played at UM's stadium. Look for the Vikings to struggle in the outdoor setting because they are a bunch of little girls (aside from AP who is a monster). They are also starting 3rd string QB Joe Webb (who?) so the Bears defense will just load the box and have a field day when Webb is forced into a passing down. This game is over before it starts. Bears win big.

Elon +19 First Half (3x)

Chicago Bears -7 (5x)

Portland Trailblazers -3 (4x)

Los Angeles Clippers -4.5 (3x)

Detroit PK (4x)

Fresno St +1.5 (4x) (NCAA Football)

Fresno State is coming off a big win vs Illinois. No. Illinois lost the mac championship to Miami OH. Take the points and roll with Fresno St.

Cleveland State +10.5 (3x)

Cincinnati -7.5 (3x)

Tuesday's Picks 12/14/10

Featured Play: Atlanta Hawks -4.5 (4x)

Other Plays:

Tennessee -12 (3x)

Louisville -14.5 (2x)

Golden State Warriors -2.5 (3x)

Monday Recap: 3-1 (+6.97)

We bounced back from a slightly down Sunday to a positive Monday. Quick recap of Sunday first, we basically were even on the day. 2 of our 3 featured plays covered easily, with the Bills and Browns not scoring at all as predicted and the Pats rolling another opponent. The rest of the games went back and forth and we were badly wrong on a few and right on for others, but only ended the day down -5.45 units so damage control was in place. Now let's get to our winning day. The team had great picks as the Giants won 21-3 against the Favreless (thank god) Vikings. Foster rushed for 100 yards, plenty over the 78.5 and we took a decent payout from that bet. FAU covered by 1 point, but we'll take it. Unfortunately the Mavs didn't play well in the second half and eventually ended their streak to the Bucks. Overall, a good day as we got back in the green. Feels good to be a winner! Check back later for more picks.

Mondays Pick's 12/13/2010

Featured Plays: Dallas Mavericks -8.5 (4x)

The Mavs have won 12 in a row and hold the league's second best record. They face a struggling Bucks team who is 2-8 on the road. Trust in Dirk and take Dallas.

Arian Foster Over 78.5 Total Rushing Yards -135 (5x)

Other Plays:

FAU +4 (4x)

FAU(6-4) has 3 straight wins over Miss St, South Florida, and Hofstra coming into tonights game vs Siena. Siena comes in on a 3 game losing streak to Princeton, Albany, and Fairfield. Take the owls and the points in this one.

New York Giants -4.5 (4x)

Eli Manning, unstoppable.

Sunday's Picks 12/12/2010

Featured Plays: Cleveland Browns +1 (5x)

Browns + Bills Under 38.5 (5x)

New England Patriots -3 Even (4x)

Today we have 3 featured plays that we really like. The Browns are a 1 point underdog against the 2-10 Bills. The Browns have won back to back games on their defense creating turnovers, and we look for the same to happen today. Neither team is an offensive juggernaut, and their is going to be a lot of running today. Hillis will get a ton of carries, and on top of all of that it is pouring/snowing in Buffalo which will slow down the offenses even more. Put the house on these games.

Other Plays:

Kansas City Chiefs +9.5 (4x)

The Chiefs beat the Chargers earlier this year 21-14. This time they will be without their starting QB, Matt Cassel. This will force them to rely more on their ground game which is averaging 175.2 yards per game. If they can slow the game down and put some points on the board early, we think they should cover easily.

Patriots + Bears Under 37 (4x)

The Pats face one of the best defenses in the NFL. The weather will also be a huge factor in this game. Snow and 30 mph winds will cause both teams to run the ball more.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers +1 (3x)

San Francisco 49ers -5 (3x)

New York Jets -5 (3x)

St. Louis Rams +9 (2x)

Dallas Cowboys +3.5 (2x)

New Orleans Hornets PK (3x)

Virginia Tech -7.5 (3x)

Villanova -8 (3x)

Saturday Recap: 5-3 (+6.45)

We'll write this one off as being happy we are in the money, but it could have easily been so much more. We had a lot of great picks tonight from the team. Our featured play, Tennessee, rolled and made it look like the lock of the year. The Heat, Hawks, and Dayton all covered their spreads easily as predicted. Duke was a gamble but it paid off as Saint Louis really never could hang and it was just a blowout the whole game. Washington and Detroit were back and forth games, with neither team holding a strong lead at any point and both barely missed out on the spreads. The Kentucky pick we just flat out lost, with IU showing some grit at the end of the 1st half. Overall, you have to be happy and thankful in this fickle world of sports betting, but we were on the brink of a huge night and it just slightly slipped through the cracks. We have a lot of good picks for Sunday's NFL games so come back before kick off to check them out.

Saturday's Picks 12/11/2010

Featured Play: Tennessee + 7.5 (4x)

The Tennessee Volunteers vs the Pitt Panthers is the Featured play today. Tennessee took down Villanova. Villanova and Pitt have a lot of similarities. They both have great guards and are not as strong at C and PF. Tennessee’s Tobias Harris will give Pitt match up problems. As long as Hopson and Goins can keep Wanamaker and Gibbs around there averages, I see the Volunteers covering the spread.

Other Plays:

Washington -1 (3x)

The Washington Huskies come in as the highest scoring team in the NCAA, averaging 95.5 points a game. Texas A&M’s one quality win was a 54 to 51 win over Temple. The Huskies will score and win this game.

Detroit Titans -6 (3x)

Detroit is just too talented to not cover the -6 spread. Ray McCallum, Chase Simon and Eli Holman will get the job done vs the 1 and 7 Eagles.

Atlanta Hawks -3.5 (3x)

We are going with the home team here. The Pacers have not won in Atlanta since 2006 and have struggled on the road all year. The Hawks are averaging 109.3 ppg and shooting a ridiculous 50.3% at home.

Miami Heat -9 (4x)

The Heat have won 7 games in a row and have been winning by double digit points in each of those wins. Miami has won 12 of the past 13 meetings against Sacramento. The Kings have been terrible all year and star point guard, Tyreke Evans has been battling an injury all season. Take the Heat.

Kentucky Wildcats -7 1st Half (3x)

Dayton Flyers +11.5 (4x)

Duke -8 2nd Half (2x)

Friday Recap: 0-1 (-3x)

If you had a chance to watch the game, you would have felt the frustration. After closing out the first half on a great run, the Hawkeyes came out in the second looking like a completely different team. They turned the ball over, missed layups, missed free throws, and just flat out sucked. The one highlight from watching the game was seeing Christopherson on Iowa State put on a shooting clinic. It was really one of the best displays of shooting I have ever seen. And of course when the game was on the line with 40 seconds left, Iowa's defense rotates and acts like Christopherson is Tijan Jobe and leaves him wide open. Of course he buried it. It amazes me at how little basketball IQ college players have sometimes. But we are putting this one behind us and we have a big day coming up. Come back in a little bit for our Saturday picks.

Friday, December 10, 2010

Friday's Picks 12/10/2010

Featured Play:

Iowa Hawkeyes -1.5 (3x)

We like the Hawkeyes today over in state rival Iowa State. Neither team is good, everyone knows that. Since it's basically a toss up on talent, we are giving the edge to the home team. That's it.

Thursday's Recap: 3-1 (+8.1x)

Good day for the team yesterday. We improved to 3-0 in our NFL picks. The Colts outplayed the the Titans and Peyton had a great game like predicted. Thank god for the moneyline because the Titans scored a meaningless touchdown at the end and covered the spread. The over was also covered by quite a bit, with neither defense being able to really shut the other team down. The Mavs continued to roll by covering over the Nets. The only loss of the night was Georgetown, who just couldn't grab the lead at the end and eventually fell to Temple. Overall, great day for betting and we hope you made some green.

Thursday, December 9, 2010

Thursday's Picks 12/9/2010

Featured Play:

Indianapolis Colts Moneyline (5x)

We like the Colts tonight against the Titans. The Colts haven't lost 4 games in a row in 9 years. Peyton hasn't looked good over the past three games, but he is going against a defense that is ranked 23rd against the pass. This should allow one of the league's best quarterbacks to get back on track. Take the Colts moneyline tonight.

Other Plays:

Indianapolis Colts + Tennessee Titans Over 44.5 (4x)

Neither teams are known for their defense. The Colts' pass defense is really good, but they are one of the worst rush defenses in the league. That's not a good combination for going up against one of the best running backs in the league. Although we think the Colts will win this game, it should be a high scoring one and they will combine for over 44.5 points.

Georgetown -1.5 (3x)

Georgetown has been playing very well this season, led by senior Austin Freeman. They have been shooting the ball at a very high percentage, and they will need to continue that against Temple's tough defense. We think that this will be a close game, but Georgetown should pull it out in the end with help from some late free throws.

Dallas Mavericks -10 (5x)

The Mavericks are one of the best teams in the league this year, and they are favored big tonight at home against the Nets. The Nets have improved off their record from last year, but are still 2-10 on the road and coming off a big road loss at Atlanta. Take the Dirk and the Mavs.

Saturday's Picks 11/27/2010

Featured Play: Pittsburgh Panthers 1st Half -13 (4x)

The Pittsburgh Panthers are our top play. We like them to cover the 1st half against UPenn. The Panthers (6-0) are playing great basketball thus far in the season and have beat teams such as Texas and Maryland. The Panthers will extend their 51 game non-conference winning streak and cover the 1st half against the mathletes of UPenn.

Other Plays:

We like the Cleveland Cavaliers at home tonight against the Grizz. The Cavaliers put up an impressive 100 points against a superior team in the Orlando Magic last night and showed that they are still a solid team without LeBron. The Cavs have not lost to the Grizz at home since 2003. Memphis has not been consistent on the road this year going 2-5. Roll with Cleveland.

Oklahoma State will cover against in state foe, Oklahoma. The Cowboys are averaging 45.3 points per contest and are an impressive 9-2 ATS. The Sooners have struggled on the road this year going 2-2. With the conference championship on the line, this game has the makings of a shootout and a close game. We like the Cowboys to come out on top and cover the spread.

Cavaliers +1 (3x)

Oklahoma State -2.5 (4x)

Michigan State -1.5 (3x)

Xavier -7.5 (2x)

Friday Recap: 3-2-1 (+2x)

Tonight was a good night for the team. We ended up +2 units overall. The game of the night was obviously the Boise State vs Nevada matchup. Nevada not only covered 14 points, but won the game because of Kyle Brotzman's right foot. The Thunder pulled off a good win at Indiana to win and improve to 6-1 on the road and earned our followers some more green. Temple covered against the Bulldogs as well.

Despite Nova not showing up tonight and the Magic pushing, we are happy with the outcome of our picks. Some early plays for tomorrow include Michigan State -1.5 and Xavier -7.5. Check back for added plays and our featured play of the day.

Friday, November 26, 2010

Friday's Picks 11/26/2010

Featured Play: Miami Heat -11 (4x)

Happy Thanksgiving everybody. Last Tuesday was miserable. Everything that could have gone wrong did. We are looking to get back on track after a positive day on Wednesday. We think the Heat are a great pick today at home against Philadelphia. The Sixers have been getting rolled on the road (1-8) and the Heat feel like they have something to prove after their 3 game losing streak. Look for Wade and company to come out and destroy the under-matched Sixers.

Other Plays:

We are staying with another in state blow out with the Orlando Magic over the Cavs. The Cavs just don't have the size to play with the Magic and we think Dwight Howard will have his way down low tonight.

We also like Temple over Georgia. Temple gave up a 16-1 run to lose to Cal, so look for the coaches to fix that melt down and get things back on track against Georgia. The Bull Dogs are coming off an 2OT loss, so they might not have their legs back yet.

We are going to continue to ride Villanova and go with them tonight against Tennessee. Playing in New York is like a home game for Nova. We think they will come out and continue to play well against the Volunteers.

The Thunder of Oklahoma City will win against those pesky Indiana Pacers tonight. Durantula has torched the Pacers in their last 6 meetings by averaging 30 points per contest. The Thunder are 5-1 away from home and have played some decent ball thus far. The Pacers have been too inconsistent this year and will have trouble containing this high scoring offense.

Nevada is our final pick of the day. We like them to cover the spread at home vs. Boise State. This game may be a shootout between these two high scoring teams. The difference in the game will be Nevada's quarterback, Colin Kaepernick. He is a very mobile quarterback that can run the ball when needed. He should give the Boise State defense some problems and allow Nevada to stay within 14 points. We like the home team here.

Orlando Magic -11 (3x)

Temple -4 (3x)

Villanova -5.5 (3x)

Oklahoma City Thunder PK (4x)

Nevada +14 (3x)

Tuesday, November 23, 2010

Wednesday's Picks 11/24/2010

Featured Play: Villanova -6.5 (5x)

Nova (4-0) and UCLA (3-0) will face off tonight at Madison Square Garden with the Wildcats favored by 6.5. The Wildcats have won by an average margin of 28.5 points. Four of the five Nova starters are averaging in double digits led by senior guard, Corey Stokes. Due to the weak non-conference schedule, the Wildcats are going to want to make the most of this matchup against one of the better Pac-10 teams thus far in the season in UCLA. If Villanova can get off to a quick start, we are confident they can cover easily.

Other Plays:

We like Illinois-Chicago over Central Michigan. Although this is not the most exciting of games to bet on, we do like Illinois-Chicago to cover the spread against a Central Michigan team who is 0-2 on the road this year. The Flames are coming off 3 days rest after a big win against a URI and will be looking to improve to 4-2. Roll with the Flames.

Cleveland State is our final college play for the night. The Vikings (5-0) travel south to Akron to face the Zips (2-1) for an in state matchup. Cleveland State has proved to be one of the Horizon League's Premier teams in the past few years. They are 4-1 ATS so far this year and are clearly the superior team in this game. Senior guard, Norris Cole and the Vikings take care of business here and cover.

Our NBA play is Fundamental Duncan and the Spurs. San Antonio is 9-3-1 ATS and have won 10 straight against the Timberwolves dating back to January of 2008. The Spurs are averaging 107.6 points a game and are shooting a league best 44.4% from beyond the arc. We believe they will continue their dominance and have no trouble covering against the Ricky Rubio-less Timberwolves. Get sum.

Villanova -6.5 (5x)

Cleveland State +3 (4x)

Spurs -8 (3x)

Chicago Illinois -3 (2x)

Tuesday's Picks 11/23/2010

Featured Play: Oklahoma -1.5 (5x)

We really like the Sooners tonight covering the spread against the Virgina Cavaliers. The Sooners put in a back and forth effort against a good athletic Kentucky team, while the Cavaliers rolled over and got blown out by Washington. We think the Sooners will carry over the intensity to today's game and win a hard fought battle against Virginia.

Other Plays:

We are taking Ohio State and Purdue 1st half lines. Both Big Ten teams should come out hot against much weaker opponents at home. OSU has blown out its easy match-ups in the first half so far this year, and we expect to see this trend continue.

We also like fellow Big Ten team Michigan State. They had a tough game against Chaminade last night, but we think they will bounce back and perform well tonight against UConn. UConn relies too heavily on Kemba Walker and Michigan State's strong guard play should be able to keep him in check and win favorably tonight.

Our NBA game today is the Mavs over the Pistons. The Pistons haven't been good on the road and the Mavs have been one of the best defensive teams in the league this year. Expect Dirk and company to come out and win easily tonight in Dallas.

Ohio State 1st Half -11.5 (4x)

Purdue 1st Half -11 (3x)

Michigan State -6 (5x)

Kentucky +3 (3x)

Dallas Mavericks -9 (3x)

Monday Recap: 3-2 (Even)

Well when we were right, we were right. The Chargers blew out the Broncos and continued their dominance at home. San Diego State took care of Miami(OH) in the second half and covered easily. Kansas State dominated pretty much the whole game and crushed a much weaker Gonzaga team.

As for the losses, Duke was solid throughout the first half and looked like they were on their way to cover until right at the end where they let Marquette go on a 6-0 run to end the game. Xavier never really got it going. They made it close towards the end but couldn't sustain the comeback and ended up losing by 9.

Monday, November 22, 2010

Monday Picks 11/22/2010

We have a mix of NFL and college basketball games that we like tonight.

We think Duke, Kansas State, Xavier and San Diego State are all solid bball picks. The Blue Devils have been on a roll and have been playing like the top team in the country so we expect them to stay hot and win easily tonight over Marquette. Kansas State is led by one of the best guards in the country in Jacob Pullen. They will be playing a tough Gonzaga team tonight but their talent should help them pull it out in the end. Xavier has been solid all year with Tu Holloway averaging 27 ppg. They should make the game against Old Dominion very close. San Diego State has proved they are a good team by beating Gonzaga. They share two opponents with Miami(OH) so far this season, and they have faired much better in those games. We like San Diego State big over Miami(OH) tonight.

Our NFL game tonight is the Charges at home versus the Broncos. The Chargers have been very good at home, winning by an average of 15.5 pts. Their only loss was a close one to the Patriots, so we think they will continue to play well and beat up on the inconsistent Broncos.

Added Plays

San Diego State -10 (3x)

San Diego Chargers -9 (4x)

Duke -11.5 (5x)

Kansas State -5.5 (3x)

Xavier +3 (4x)
